The Minco Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Elmore City-Pernell Badgers at 7:00 p.m. The late playmaking once again helped the Owls pick up a win. Minco is 3-0 against Elmore City-Pernell since November of 2014, and theyll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Owls took care of business in the championship game, but they were not far away from being in the third-place game instead. Ninnekah shot 14 free throws in the fourth quarter and made 12 of them to help secure the win. The Bulldogs climbed within one score multiple times in the second half, but the Owls just kept holding strong.Īnd they held strong in the fourth quarter, especially when it came to putting the game away with free throws. When Minco cut its deficit to three in the fourth quarter, the Owls went on an 8-0 run and managed to maintain that separation for the rest of the game. The Owls grew their lead to 13 in the first half, but Minco only trailed by six at halftime and lowered that deficit to one in the second half. When Minco went on a surge or just lowered its deficit, Ninnekah responded. The Owls managed to keep the Bulldogs at bay in the win, but the Bulldogs made surges throughout the game despite never leading. Jerdee grew stronger as the game went on, scoring 18 of his 23 points in the final two quarters.
